Plaza family care
I am kind of surprised that there is no discussion about this on here. Plaza, seemingly out of nowhere (at least to me).decided to close down their 53 year old practice. 2 of my children were just there for their annuals in June and another one of my children was set to have her annual next month. Has anyone had any luck obtaining their medical records from them? I have not secured a new primary for them yet (I literally learned of this 2 days ago). I havent heard good things about Somerset Pediatrics (where the letter suggests).
DaydreamerMy husband saw Dr. Chang. He was able to get his records. He also received a letter yesterday. In the letter, it explained how to get your records. Good luck!
JL It was a surprise to me as well...went for appointment on 8/14 + they indicated "closing down". I didn't receive letter or email? The receptionist indicated that the office - not doctors - still there processing medical records. You can stop and pick them up....I would call first to see what status is. OR they will forward to new doctor/primary, etc.
SS2cats Addition to above - receptionist indicated that office staff there until mid-late September in office processing records.
Did you receive a letter from the office? It tells you where the doctors will now be practicing.
TJS I'm not surprised. The bigger that practice got, the worse they became. I started seeing them as a kid in their original Flanders office off 206, as the practice grew to the Hacketsttown location by the hospital, the bedside manner, office staff, etc., became terrible!! Consider this a blessing in disguise.
Anybody have the name and phone # of Dr. Chang's new office in Budd Lake?

LVMomofBoys @Daydreamer what have you heard about Somerset that is not good? I was considering using them for child but curious what their issues are
Concerned I got a letter in the mail also - but I didn't know he was opening an office in Budd Lake - I didn't really want to search for a new primary care doctor - been going to him for 20 years. Surprised it wasn't mention in the letter or is he not taking former patients?
