National Guards

Why when you drove by the Hackettstown National Guard on my way to Waterloo Village. The parking lot was packed they are getting prepared for anything to happen here.

Normal drill weekend. That has been going on there for decades.

I will always remember that building for where I took my driver's test . It was in my dad's 8 foot bed pickup with a manual 3 on the tree and no power steering . About three cars back in the line the shift linkage stuck into first gear and had me panicked ! Pulling forward it came unstuck and I took the test and passed despite knocking down the cones in parallel parking - you were allowed one flunk and of course I never practiced that maneuver .

I didn't have to take the written test because they gave it to us in school . I was unaware of that the day of that test and still passed even though I was high as a kite thanks to my degenerate friends . Ahh the 70s gone but not forgotten .

Thank you Me21, and Outdoor woman has every right ask! It is a valid question, and it is likely that someone on this forum has some information.

I recommend contacting this person to determine if in fact the National Guard was called up or if it was a normal training drill.

They drill on average once a month from there. It is not unusual to see a group of people there. I have seen it too many times to count over the last I don't know, 45 plus years I have traveled that roadway regularly.

Of course if one really, really needs to know what was going on there one should contact the exact source to answer the burning question. I did not pluck the information from the air. I am familiar the various departments involved in the NJ National Guard and State Police for that matter, and quickly deduced this is the contact information. Yes I found it using an online search engine. Gasp! LMAO.

Common sense says drill. OR it was some sort of clandestine operation calling up the Guard and or the reserves that was not made public anywhere, Nor was it mentioned in the always correct, fair and accurate national media outlets and or the slew of social media "journalists". That narrative depends on the agenda of the day...LMAO!!

The Washington New Jersey National Guard is on drill this weekend too.
