Russling Road, Independence Twp.
I saw a post from IPD on Facebook that Russling Road will be closed, starting August 3rd, for paving. First I've heard about this. FYI for anyone living out here. Doesn't say how long.

joyful Back in the day, Russling Road wasunpaved from the Highlands to Barkers Mill. They would scrape it level once in a while.

Independence Farmer Power was out twice in N. Main St. area of Hackettstown/Independence too. First outage about 7:30...
I saw that people were posting (on FB, I think) that this was happening yesterday or a day or two ago in Hackettstown & Peachtree area. WTH? If they're working on lines or something, give some warning or explanation. Independence police dispatcher didn't have any info. Hackettstown has, at least, put out an alert. This can't be good for our electronics & appliances. Document times & when, etc.
I just spoke with WRNJ news and was advised that JCP&L said they've found the problem and fixed it. Let's hope.
