Prayers for The Duke, please
I just got an email from Joyful. The Duke is having a minor setback after a serious yet successful surgery at HMRC. I'm sure she will keep us informed, but in the meantime, let's keep him in our prayers.

Hopeful in H-town I've been thinking about him all week long, and have no doubt this is just part of the journey. I've seen others go through this and know the Duke isn't named that for being a weak person - his strength come through all the time. Still, many prayers have gotten an extra turn or two in his honor.

happy2bhere Remember Joyful - recovering from surgery is a slow process - it's 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. He will be fine. With you at his side, how could he not be.

You all are so sweet and I feel very humbled by all of your kind offers of help and support. The neighbors have been caring for and mowing the lawn and I can't wait to cook for the Duke when he gets home. He already has two offers of lobster dinners out when he gets well. He will have a visiting nurse for a bit when he first gets home but after that we should be OK. But, you can bet, my friends, if we should need anything at all....we know who to ask because we know your offers are sincere and right from your heart.
GC is a really good cook.....Trust me I know!!

Firefly I have heard the most excellent news that the Duke has been released from the hospital and is resting at home.

The Duke is home from the hospital and doing very well. Post op follow ups now with Drs. but surgery was very successful and just know he is going to be good as new very soon. We both sincerely thank all of our Forum Friends for all of your thoughts, prayers, and cards.
