This site not secure?
Hi,
I have not checked this site in a while, but in the last week or so when I tried it tells me its not a secured site before hitting continue. I never got that message before. I am current using safari via ipad. Should I be using different browser? Figure I ask as I like this site for getting information on a bunch of things. Thank you!
HTownMomof2 HTown: I see this too; I am no expert, I think the world has changed, Cloud Flare is everywhere for more security for example and lots of changes in security for site access and, like HL, sometimes use.
I think HL is as safe as it ever was, or was not, but other parts are now safer or more restrictive.
My VPN restricts access to some sites, makes others funky, and many sites with Cloud Flare (not HL, I am sure they don't have it) do strange things in access. I get the funny pictures for verification of human-ess all the time, some take a dozen tries. Remove VPN and get right in.
Then I admin'd my VPN to use US only and can access many, many more sites than when I world-vpn. I still have to "split tunnel" a few sites to tunnel through the VPN to avoid whatever restrictions happen because of it. And yes, I have not a clue what that means.
Think this one is one HL to upgrade their site. But don't think your in more danger than you were. Hopefully some nerd-pert (network expert) can illuminate.
babbit I too have had the same issue. My problem was my WiFi kicked me out and had to be rebooted. Unplug it and it resets
Robert That means the SSL certificate is expired. If you aren’t seeing that warning - I didn’t - the certificate has been renewed. It didn’t mean the site was insecure or dangerous, though.
