Tree in wires on Janes Chapel Road

Tree in wires on Janes Chapel Road

This tree has been hanging in the wires for two weeks.I guess the DPW in Mansfield never look up when they drive under it.

I don't believe that is a DPW issue. That would be either a power company or one of the communication companies wheelhouse. There are scores and scores of the same issues around our area currently. They peck away at them slowly. With that said, one can get the closest pole number and report the issue directly as well.

They certainly wont be looking on a barely active forum

Just call Jcpl; they will take care.

Jcp&l won’t be bothered look at the mess on Rt46 going up Vienna hill. In Independence Twp

I am no JCPNL fan, but when I called them for a tree on a wire on Mount Bethel Road, they seem to have handled it within a day.

It is a mess on route 46 coming out of Vienna going up the hill, I’m not sure there are any trees on wires, but probably are. Make a call, they should come.

They are even removing the standing dead white ash now. Got Cemetery, Mt. Bethel and more.

Chances are it's phone, fiber or cable and not primary power cables judging from the photo. Around here it's a common sight and these situations can remain uncorrected for months or years. Often the poles and line service isn't the responsibility of the power company but of a phone company.
Trees like the one pictured can remain in that hung up position for years regardless of whether the tree rests on lines or another tree in the forest.
