Trinity Church
I'd like to get people's opinion on the Ministers that replaced Dr. Fowler. Do you feel like they have the same warmth or charisma that Dr. Fowler had? I know that he was one in a million and I miss him dearly as I feel that Trinity isn't the same without him. So would like to get others opinion. Thanks
Genesis I am not a member but knew, respected and liked the good Dr. From handling the business to spiritual needs of the church, what an amazing guy. Think he had better pr for the church than governor Whitman who hit the paper almost every day back a ways. On a personal basis, he gave me new insights as a friend. IMO there will never be another Dr. Fowler and comparisons will always leave you lacking.
Perhaps judging your new ministers on their own merits while providing or lending support where you think needed is a more positive and productive course. Matching Fowler won’t happen, but doing some things better and many pretty close is possible. I am sure they feel compared at every step which can make one gun-shy and not themselves.
I think you very brave to broach the subject that everyone may feel and the new minister may be catching those vibes as well.
Fowler has got to be one hard act to follow.
