Donaldson Farm
Heard that Donald’s Farm may be sold to make way for affordable housing. Hope that’s not true
Whether you stop by to shop or just drive by, thank you for cherishing the scenic landscape that has been here since 1906. It’s due to the hard work and dedication of Lewis Donaldson (our Pop-Pop) and six generations of humble, bright, and incredibly strong farmers.
Thank you for your check-ins and concern. The farm is not for sale. The only change is that the state requires each municipality to designate areas for future affordable housing, so parts of Donaldson Farms have been assigned.
Farming is tough enough, and the resilient farmers of the Garden State continue to work hard and adapt. We appreciate your support - this is the perfect time to thank you for recognizing the effort behind it.
What can you do? Keep shopping and experiencing everything our farm family has to offer at the Farm Market, Donaldson's Greenhouse & Nursery, and Wholesale Operations. Also, consider giving a shout-out to Lew and the crew as our 120th anniversary is just around the corner - Wow!
Thank you for supporting us and all family farms in New Jersey throughout the seasons. Here’s to another fabulous fall season ahead!
Please don't ever sell the farm! Too many are being sold off for "affordable" housing and we all know what that means. Plus I'd be lost without all the fantastic fruits, vegetables, pies, etc.!
I appreciate the farm! We have purchased farm produce for 39 years.
I always hoped they would have moved with the times and adopted organic farming
( wonderful for everyone!)
For the last 5 years, we have participated in organic farm shares.
I feel Donaldson’s will continue to thrive with organic produce. Start small.
