Bulk Garbage Disposal
Newer to the area. Is there a way to dispose of bulk household garbage? We are talking old chairs, blinds, mini fridge, and basic bulk junk. LMR wants to charge 175 per item and at that rate i can rent a dumpster. How does everyone dispose of their junk bulk items?

Most folks take the items to the landfill.
If you are in town there will be 2 weekends this year for spring clean up. Items can be brought to the Miller Street firehouse.

Absolutely NO CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, such as shingles, sheet rock, lumber, tiles, fence/fence posts, siding, windows and doors will be accepted – this includes any materials related to home renovation projects. Anyone handicapped or 65 years or older who is unable to bring their clean up material for drop off must call the D.P.W. garage prior to the last clean up weekend at (908) 852-2320 to schedule arrangements for curbside pick-up.
Either do it your self and take it to the dump, or hire that dumpster. That's what most people do.
Remember that mini fridge can't be included in with everything else due to the freon. It has to be separated out. Check with your township for handling instructions.
1-800-got-junk. But they can get expensive. They charge by the truck load , if I remember correctly.
But they do all the work.
There are numerous junk removal companies. Your best bet is to call a few for estimates. Junk Rat I think charges by how much truck space. Ex: 1/4 load, 1/2 load etc
