ATM ate card
I went to the Hackettstown M&T bank atm last night to withdraw some cash and the atm kept my card, something to the effect of I took too long with the transaction. My card is a Turbo Visa debit card. What should I do. Thanks
Similar situation with Bank of America last Summer. They had issued the Debit Card. Since the bank was still open. I went inside to explain the situation. They wouldn’t open the ATM machine. They issued me a temporary card instead, which allowed me to finish my transaction. Took two weeks for a replacement card to arrive in the mail.
The card isn't expired. Guess I have to go to the bank tomorrow and try to get my card back. Luckily, I know the manager. Thanks all.
Shouldn't you call 1-800-cancel my card, freeze my account? Hey, I was pulling quarters that people thought the car wash ate earlier....probably can't happen....but just saying safety first.
Go to the bank they will give it back to you. It happened to us and they gave it back just bring your id.
Happened to my Wells Fargo card....called the 800 # to report it. Had to have a new card/#...they consider it "stolen/lost". It gets shredded in the ATM...they don't just open it and give it back...at least not at WF.
When Skylands was my bank, I took my money but left the card in the ATM at the bank. I didn't realize it for several days. I immediately called them and was told they had it. But no one could tell me if it was turned in or if the machine sucked it back in. So (at least at that time) the Skylands ATM did not destroy the card. I was away at the time. They tried to notify me, but I was not home to get the message. Needless to say, I was very happy and relieved to know they had my card.
