Undercarriage car wash
I'm always skeptical about paying for an undercarriage wash at car washes. At one car wash in Budd Lake, I noticed no water coming out of the underside water jets when my car went thru. When I asked the man at the counter about it, he said they weren't working and was real nasty about giving my money back...If it didnt work, why should I pay for it?
When I go to other washes, I take care to look for the undercarriage wash. Most time I dont see the water shooting from below and dont see a wet underside after I go thru.
Does anyone have recommendations for car washes that truly do this? I know the best way is to do it yourself, but that's not always possible, especially in winter.
thanks for the opinions!
Bill
Scrub-a-dub definitely has them but not only that, they have a drive thru that is completely touch less. We've had great experiences there all the time. Just drive slow on the way out to get the blower to blow all the left over drops.
The $8 wash gives undercarriage - just go slow going in -that is when the under is being done - you'll hear it. Zane's was open today - not sure if they have it or not. They have been "spotty" open/closed.
I just got my car washed at Scrub a Dub with the touchless wash. I don't feel like the back of the car got as clean as the rest. Was this user error, like did I pull in too far or not far enough? Is that just the dirtiest part and normal for these kinds of washes? Just wondering if I can improve for next time. The rest of the car came out good, with just a few spots here and there.
I have had some good and bad experiences at Scrub-a-dub. Sometimes clean, sometimes not and the blower doesn't do the best job.
