jcpl work around great meadows
Many pole and hardware at firehouse. Like two or three mobile offices with ac. Putting in big wire on Alphano. Out on 31, new poles from Butzville to the dump and could be going to Oxford.
Anyone know what's up? We getting upgraded infrastructure.
I would call JCPL, but don't have a couple of hours on hold time. Would grab the newspaper, but what are those, around here????
Love to know.
It sounds as if you answered you own question.
Contact any of those towns or municipalities. Typically there are made aware of that scale of work. Either the town clerks office, police department or the DPW.
Or a quick Google search:
"In Warren County, NJ, Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), a FirstEnergy company, is actively upgrading the regional electrical grid to improve service reliability and storm resiliency. Current JCP&L upgrade work in the area includes: Grid Upgrades: Modernizing more than 9 miles of overhead power lines and installing new protective equipment for customers connected to the Blairstown substation.TripSaver Devices: Deploying automated smart devices across local circuits that can automatically re-energize power lines after a temporary disruption (like a bouncing tree branch), which prevents long outages. Substation Modernization: Upgrading local substation components and relays to provide operators with enhanced data and operational flexibility."
Greg, thanks. don't think I'm calling a half dozen townships to investigate, but appreciate the idea. Your article seems as good as it gets but not specific to Rt 31, Danville Mountain or Great Meadows.
Right now massive line replacement butzville to oxford. bigger poles, crossbars, looking like lots of gear going up. giant pole and hardware depot at great meadows firehouse. Saw them pulling wire on Alphano, but can't tell they were there today so might be a false flag for now.
Resiliency is the word I wanted to hear. About time.
