Hackettstown HS FOOTBALL 2022
I heard about a scrimmage score but haven't heard about the Kittatinny game. Do you know the score of that game ole' timer?
2-0. Long season ahead but the coaching staff has them pointed in the right direction.

It was a good game to watch last night. It was so nice to see the student body overflowing with support for the team. In my approximately 50 years of attending the games I've never seen so much support at a football game. Win or not I sure hope it keeps up. They do more cheering than the cheerleaders do and are comical at times.

Last nights fan support was Electric with USA Theme! The Jungle was ALIVE AND WELL!
But the fans didn’t storm the field at end of game like they did in 1982
The Last State Championship for HHS Tigers!
Our Tigers are 2-0 with a big Rivalry Game this Friday vs Lenape Valley at HOME
LETS GO TIGERS
ChiliDog,
Maybe if they win a state championship this year they will storm the field. Let's hope so.
Tonight is a real test. Kittatinny and North Warren are not very good. Good to see they are running on offense designed in this century.
When you don’t win a game last season, every game is a test. Huge turnaround. Happy to see the competitive juices flowing, energy on the field and on the sideline. Good group of coaches and the kids are enjoying themselves. Winning makes the work worth it. See-winning isn’t all that bad folks. Sit back and enjoy it.

Honestly I hope the new coach went In and cleaned house! Got rid of all the “TSA” influence. Not sure that happened but they are winning.
This is Hackettstown High School 2022 Post
Let’s support the present Tiger Coaches and Players each game all season long with positive comments ! Remember these young men are Student Athletes and the coaches are not from Ohio State!
Keep up the Hard Work and Fight!
Let’s Go Hackettstown TIGERS
Oh god! Just pointing out all the backlash from the parents when they jumped on the BOE about firing Robinson! And yes they are playing great! Beat the teams your supposed to beat!
Hey is Hackettstown now a Group III school? NJ Gridiron has power point rankings and they list Hackettstown in North Group III
Just wondering
They're Group 3 out of 5 in football, probably still Group 2 out of 4 in other sports...
Being in the Group III bracket makes it much more difficult to advance in the state playoffs.
Hackettstown has the smallest enrollment of any Group 3 school in the State.
https://www.njsiaa.org/sites/default/files/documents/2022-08/Football%20%2722%20%26%20%2723.pdf
It should also be noted that whereas each Group used to have four Sections (North 1, North 2, Central and South); there is now only North and South for football.
I believe HHS was moved to Group 3 in all sports this year. As Ianimal showed we have the lowest enrollment of all the Group 3 schools and 6 have more kids enrolled than some of the Group 2 teams. So we are right on the edge of being Group II or Group III.
To clarify, there are only two "Super Sections", North and South, to see which 16 teams QUALIFY for the playoffs.
Once that is determined, then the 8 northernmost schools in the North Super Section will be put into the North 1 bracket and seeded, the remaining 8 are put into the North 2 bracket and seeded. Same with the South Super Section.
I'm guessing the reasoning behind this is to keep some of the weaker schools out and allow some better schools to get in, who may have been punished in the past by being in an extremely competitive Section.
The schedule is what it is.
Last year, all those cupcakes beat up on h’town. This year they didn’t. Give them credit. Huge turnaround so far. We’ll see how this game turns out.
Calm down.

They lost. 21-12. Although not mentioned a lot prior to the game, Newton was also 5-0 heading into last nights game. It would seem that was a good match up based on records. Newton is still undefeated and Hackettstown falls to 5-1.
It seems the team has fallen to 5-4. A winning record. Are they in any playoff bracket or is that it for the season?
Folks got quiet once the 4 game slide hit....
Team lost a state game vs. West Morris.
The QB, who was a having a superb season, suffered a big injury about 4-5 weeks ago.
A 5-4 winning record is a nice accomplishment. GO TIGERS!

But the marching band won! I wondered what the sirens were on Saturday night and found out it was to celebrate their 3rd place win at a National competition according to FB.
