Installation and purchase of a Stairlift

Thinking of purchasing a Stairlift (new or used) for our home (12 steps going downstairs) in the near future. Would like to hear from anyone who might know where to start looking or any experience you might have had with the use of one in your home...

Thanks for the mail, Hopeful...Wondering if there are any local companies that sell and/or install stairlifts...12 stairs and each step about 30 inches wide.

We used acorn too. We lived in a bilevel and it was perfect for our need to getting up and down the stairs safely.

We have had both a stair lift and an elevator installed by Mobility Elevator. The stair lift lasted 12 years (expected life 10 years). Ours was complicated, with a 180 degree turn half way between floors. https://www.mobilityelevator.com/
