If you like old time, I'd might try Yankee Doodle Dandy, black n white, Jimmy Cagney, Michael Curtiz directed. Got 8 academy award nominations, 3 wins. Curtiz is the an all time great who brought us: Captain Blood, Casablanca, The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Comancheros, Mildred Pierce, and about 50 more --- mostly great.
