Goodbye ITC Sam's Club, Hello Amazon!
Pending approval by Mt. Olive Twp., the old Sam's Club building at the ITC will be repurposed as an Amazon fulfillment Center as per both the Long Valley Patch and the NJ Herald newspaper:

https://www.njherald.com/news/20191206/amazon-plans-major-delivery-center-in-shuttered-sams-club-in-budd-lake
Smart move for them. Now they can pay someone $15/hr to deliver packages instead of going through UPS where the drivers make much more. I know amazon doesn’t pay the ups drivers directly but the cost is built in. Same day delivery will be excellent. I’m just wondering how many items they can actually stock there.

Legions of these subcontractors will be driving there. Not necessarily bad but the gig economy will come in force to the old Sam's Club location...
I guess Mt. Olive was quick with the bid? Shame Hackettstown missed out on that big empty Compaq building. Nothing like that eyesore and the many other failed attempts to bring and keep business.
The location is right off of Route 80, makes sense versus trucks coming into Hackettstown.
I guess. Who needs a ratable in town anyway. That's what us residents are for. Another win for Morris county!
