When Will Warren County Repave Route 517?

Anyone else notice how poor the pavement is getting on Route 517 between Independence and Route 80? Plenty of potholes and rutted pavement and the roadway needs new paint and striping. What's the hold up?

There was a bunch of discussion here when they paved it a couple of years ago. It was done thin on purpose that would help with traction during the winter months. Since it's so recent it probably won't be done for a few more years. Pot holes are different, those you should report and have the county fill them.

Honestly compared rt 24 between Chester and Morristown we should count our blessings . The road near the scrape yard is way worse howver nesr 517

You live in NJ....We pay high quality tax dollars to have these potholes!!

You better hope they don't use the Company Montana Construction. They put in the waterline along Rt 57 in New Village. Their "patch" job works better as a washboard than a road. They just fixed a section of the road that is now worse than the original road!

Mr. 4paws that was a temporary fix. The state DOT is actually finishing up that project with a new surface.

The Waterline has been in place for well over 6 months. The line runs down the right hand lane where you almost have to ride on it and it will knock out your alignment. The job that was done patching the roadway, I could have done a better job with a lawn roller and a hand tamper. That job should have never been accepted as done. The "temporary" fix they are doing now will "reflect" in the finished surface if not addressed. If I had ever done a poor job like that, I would have been put out of business years ago.
