St. Patrick's Day 2019 - Where to go?
Any suggestions on a fun place to go to eat/drink/listen to music perhaps for St. Patty's Day?
I know it will be crowded so I'll bring my patience! :)
If you are planning to go to some place in Hackettstown for your corn beef and cabbage this St. Patrick's Day( falls this year on a Sunday)...it seems most of the local restaurants are serving that dish this year Friday and Saturday but not on the actual day. Tonight the American Legion in Hackettstown's special dinner is Corn Beef and Cabbage and Tonight as well as tomorrow night Stella G's have a special Irish meal on tap. Not sure if Bea McNallys will have a Irish menu on Sunday....but would certainly hope so...
Check out Thatcher McGhee's in Denville
Wonderful corned beef and cabbage. Not sure about music.lively place and love the atmosphere. Budd Lake Diner has an excellent corned beef and cabbage dinner. I will be going there.
Quite Man Irish pub in Dover
Knights of Columbus Hackettstown
I would avoid Bee Mc Let Down
Panther Pub will be having Live music This Sunday, 4-7pm with Jukebox Trio. Corned Beef & Cabbage and other Irish specialties will be served.
Knights of Columbus on liberty st in htown has a great corn beef and cabbage dinner on Sunday. They do it every year on st Pats day. Two seatings. Check it out! Fun time!
Please for the love of this Irish girl, call it by its correct abbreviated version ...
it’s St. PADDY’S Day not St. Patty’s Day !
Thank you
And have a great time celebrating St.Patrick’s Day wherever you are!!!
Why in the world is PaDDy correct when it's St. PaTrick's day?? I guess just changing the spelling to include the Irish brogue?
'Tis Saynt Paddy's Day, dontcha know!
Sláinte!
Somewhere, perhaps... certainly not in Warren County though, lol. (-;
When the American name of the holiday is changed to Saint Padraig's Day, then I'll consider calling it Saint Paddy's Day. Until that time, it's just plain wrong.
I called the Budd Lake Diner and "yes"; they will be serving corned beef and cabbage tomorrow (St. Patrick's Day) starting at 11. I don't know what they are charging. Very excellent meal and that is why I go every year!
I have not tried Luigi's yet but it's pretty close to where I live - sounds like a place to check out!
Yours truly, Greenie McDoodles, is very grateful to have an Instant Pot so that I can pressure cook my brisket in Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout in about 90 minutes when I get home from work tonight. I thought about throwing it in the slow cooker before I left, but then I'd have to hear sheanimal complain about the smell all day, lol.
I'm in the mood for some Shepherd's Pie … any place that would be serving it today?
Yes. Thatcher Mc Ghees in Denville has a wonderful Shepherds Pie. I've had it several times.
