UL Listing for Electric Range?

Does anyone know if electric ranges have UL listings?

Of course they do.

Lots of info here.

I thought they all had to have the UL listing but the range we were looking at did not have one.

I was already on those websites but am still trying to figure out how to search only for ranges that are UL listed.

Anyone know?

It is not mandated however most large retailers do not sell non UL approved items from what I'm reading. There is also an insurance issue using a non UL approved item it appears.

I would think there may not be a list of non approved ranges. It would be easier to find the range then look for the UL rating.

A Google search provides some UL approved lists of ranges.

An appliance like an electric range will normally have a UL Listing, but it may also have approvals or certifications from other Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories such as TUV, CSA, Intertek, etc. Did the range have any other markings on it?

It had no certifications or approvals. It was an electric GE range. Don't want any issues with home insurance.

I'd be surprised if there was a non-UL listed range. Maybe contact GE appliances and ask to be sure? Otherwise I'd look for one that was.

I agree, I'd be very surprised if there was not some type of certification.

Actually, if you can post the model number, I may be able to check for you. I work very closely with UL.
