Hackettstown Mayor Michael Lavery highlights this year's goals

Despite national economic difficulties, Mayor Michael Lavery remains optimistic about the town's future. With the advent of a new year, Lavery reflected on both the town's accomplishments during his tenure, as well as goals for 2010.

According to Lavery, one of his primary goals for the New Year is to continue to pay down the town's long-term debt. Since his first year as mayor of Hackettstown, Lavery and his administration have paid down the town debt $1.4 million, from $6.2 million in 2005 to $4.8 million at the end of 2009.
