Fish Hatchery gets a hand from Centenary Students

Students from the Centenary College Mathematics and Natural Sciences Academic Foundations Course recently completed a semester of volunteer work at the Charles O. Hayford Fish Hatchery in Hackettstown.

The freshmen students performed a wide range of duties to help the hatchery staff including testing water oxygen levels, weighing fish, hatching fish and taking scales to calculate the age of the fish. Each of the nine students logged a total of 20 hours of service towards the completion of their AFC requirements.
