John DiMaio named to fill Assembly seat

Warren County Freeholder John DiMaio bested two Hunterdon County freeholders Saturday to become the 23rd Legislative District's next assemblyman.

DiMaio won the position during a convention of the Warren and Hunterdon counties' Republican committees held to fill the Assembly seat of Marcia Karrow.

Karrow was selected last month during another convention to fill the state Senate seat of Leonard Lance, who was elected to Congress in November.
