First Ever St. Patrick's Day Parade with special guests from Ireland

All the way from Ireland, by way of Continenatal Airlines, Hackettstown, NJ will be welcoming Hacketstown Ireland as their honored guests for their first ever St. Patrick's Day Parade. If planning a St. Patrick's Parade wasn't enough, the Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) has arranged for residents of Hacketstown Ireland to attend the March 15th St. Patrick's Day Parade in Hackettstown, NJ. These special guests from Ireland will be driven in the parade aboard Ford Mustang convertibles from Hackettstown Ford.

Our special guests from Hacketstown Ireland will be witness to a parade that will consist of 4 Bagpipe groups, 2 Irish Step Dancing groups, the Hackettstown Community Band, and the Colonial Musketeers. In addition, our parade will feature the Hackettstown Fire Department, Police Department, Rescue Squad, and Ladies Auxiliaries. We have invited Irish Families in the area to come march in our parade along with Hackettstown BID businesses, civic, social and fraternal organizations who will also join in marching.

The Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) in conjunction with the Town of
Hackettstown will be holding its first St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday March 15th beginning at 3:30pm down Main Street, Hackettstown. The parade will begin at the Post Office on Grand Avenue, march down onto Main Street and end on Warren Street by David's Country Inn. We are looking forward to step off of this parade and would be most excited to have you join us. This is the first year for this parade and hopefully it's the first of many more to come.

Bill Harper has been named the Grand Marshall for Hackettstown's First St. Patrick's Day Parade. Mr. Harper will be joined by his wife, Pat, and their children and grandchildren as they lead the parade down Main St. Mr. and Mrs. Harper will be riding in a vintage 1966 green Ford Mustang Convertible. Make sure to come out and cheer for a fine Irishmen, Mr. Harper on March 15th at 3:30pm!!!

After the Parade, please stay in Hackettstown as many of our local restaurants will be staying open with Irish Menus. In addition, Irish Step Dancers will be performing at these local restaurants.
