Mary Anne Gordon is on her way to becoming a "poster child."

Diagnosed last August with inoperable pancreatic cancer -- which most people don't live longer than three months after being diagnosed -- the Hackettstown woman is in her fifth month of battling the deadly disease and, thanks to outstanding medical care, overwhelming support from others and a positive outlook, she has made significant progress.

"I'm going to be the poster child for that," Gordon said on her fight to become a statistical anomaly by surviving pancreatic cancer. "We're doing everything we can both medically and holistically to combat the cancer tumor and get back to a normal life."
