Arc Self Advocates to Hold Giant Flea Market

June 11, 2008 at 4:58 pm

Antiques and "uniques" can be found Sat., June 21 from 9 am to 3 pm when The Go-Getters, a group of developmentally disabled self advocates, hold a giant flea market in the parking lot of The Arc of Warren County offices at 319 W. Washington Avenue (Rt. 57). Rain date is Sun., June 22.

The Go-Getters have sponsored the "Arc Market Place" since 2006 and have raised funds to make it possible for them to attend a statewide self advocates convention each year. At the convention, self advocates discuss issues related to various disabilities, employment, living in the community, and socialization. The Arc's self advocates group has been active since 1986.

For directions and more information about the Arc Market Place and self advocacy programs, please call The Arc at 908.689.7525. Those who are interested in taking a table to sell their own goods may ask for Bonnie or Leslie.
