Two NJ residents charged in Hackettstown drug bust

Police report finding heroin and drug paraphernalia on men.

Two Sussex County men face drug charges after they were stopped Monday walking on Moore Street.

Patrolman David Garzon arrested Robert S. Walthour, 19, of Hopatcong, and Steven N. Chirco, 20, of Hopatcong, as they were walking toward Main Street.

Garzon directed Walthour to give him "what he came to deliver," the affidavit states. Walthour handed over a prescription bottle with four bags of suspected heroin. He then allegedly gave Garzon permission to search him and handed over more heroin, hypodermic needles, a scale, a glass pipe and Klonopin and Xanax tablets.
