New Fitness Program Targeting Adults 50+

October 14, 2007 at 6:30 pm

A new fitness program for those 50 and above is coming to Hackettstown starting November 1st.

ChiForLiving, a fitness program founded by Stan Cohen, is starting classes at Awakening Point on Mountain Avenue in the Skylands Bank Plaza.

Come join us for a FREE Demo Class: Monday, October 29th, 11am-12:15pm.

As an alternative to traditional exercise programs, ChiForLiving has proven itself an effective program for gaining flexibility, increased mobility, increased leg strength and balance.

You can do the ChiForLiving movements anywhere, anytime with no equipment other than comfortable clothes. All you need is a good attitude and willingness to improve physical and mental health through movement and your own body weight.

Practicing ChiForLiving teaches balance, enhances leg strength, and improves flexibility and stamina. Due to the concentration needed to perform the movements, the system also works as a form of meditation and stress relief.

Rooted in traditional Tai Chi and Qigong, Stan has created his new programs for people looking to be more mobile. Use the programs as stand alone fitness routines or as a great primer to more advanced Tai Chi study. Interpreting the movements learned over 8 years of study, Stan incorporates the theory of Tai Chi movement in the soft, low impact, weight bearing and flexibility exercises he teaches.
