Real ID License

Does anyone know if Washington DMV will have Real ID capability in the near future? I have tried the DMV phone number several times, but wait time to talk to a person has been over an hour each time.

What does the Washington DMV do anymore? Only registration? Do they even do written or driving tests anymore?

Why do we even need these? I have already given all the needed ID for my current license. How many people entering the US will get a license without needing these documents. Just a vent.
