Canasta
My father-in-law has moved in with us here in Hackettstown and has been searching for any groups that play Canasta. He would play weekly in the Tennessee Community Center where he lived. None of the Community centers in Hackettstown, Great Meadows or Phillipsburg seem to have card games as recreational activity. Does anyone know of a group or club that plays Canasta? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Edward Bennett The Phillipsburg Senior Center lists Bridge as an activity every Monday and Wednesday from 10am to 3pm.
The only other card game I know of that's popular with the older folks in that area is Pinochle; there was always a weekly game going on at the Italian-American club. Canasta might be a hard find.
