Local Real Estate Commission
Has anyone had any issues with local realtors agreeing to 4% (3.5% if buyer is from the same agency) commission?
Real Estate commissions are totally up for negotiation.
Lots of fixed costs involved in practicing Real Estate.
And a lot of commitment.
At some point they decide their efforts are better directed somewhere else.
A good Agent pays a dividend to their clients BEFORE the home goes onto the market- in preparation.
If you feel there’s nothing to it, why don’t you do it yourself and not pay any commission?
I just stated 4%, on a 700k home that is 28k. Is this not more than enough? I wanted to go with Weichert but they would not go below 5% so I will be going with another big name that does. It's a SELLERS market so the 4% is more than adequate IMHO...
You could do a for sale by owner and save that 4-5%?
Zillow will list your home for free.
