Microwave Recycling
Does anyone know anywhere that will recycle microwaves for free or a small fee? All the places I have found charge more than the microwave itself to dispose of it. Is there a better option?
Are you local to Hackettstown? If so bring it to the spring clean up tomorrow 10-8 or Saturday 8-3 at the Miller street firehouse.

Abilities in Washington has an electronics recycling program that says "SMALL KITCHEN & HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES". I've never donated a microwave to them, but worth checking up on.
Do stereo head units and DirecTV tuners need to be recycled or can they go in the trash? They don't seem to be identified on NJ's Covered Electronic Devices list.
I have dropped off old microwave at Abilities of Northwest Jersey in the past.
They will be accepting electronic items at Fulton Bank on Mountain Ave this Saturday, 4/17 from 9-12.

Thanks, I was able to drop them off at Fulton Bank today. Looks like there will be another similar event in Hope next week for anyone that missed this.
The Rotary people are so good to be working on both the shredding and bringing in Abilities. I couldn't help but remember Kevin Guyette today.
Most of my recycling was electronics instead of hazardous today. So very grateful to have made a quick drop off instead of going farther away and waiting in that huge line.
Thanks for everything.
