replacement window sash kits
Anyone have experience with different brands of sash kits? Any contractor info for replacement?
wondering I would speak to Mario with Nexlevel Construction. He is right out of Newton and covers all of Morris and Warren Counties. He replaced all of our single pane windows (17 of them) with double hung inserts. It’s worth a shot and having him look over your situation. He may even provide a different solution.
His workmanship is excellent, he is very reliable and I thought the quote he gave us was very reasonable.

There's a huge selection difference in product and people depending on whether you desire store-stock factory vinyl replacements or custom-made Pella all wood, divided light, restorations and everything in between. Some windows really call for factory-training on installation (or a heck of a lot of experience), others --- most handy-folk can install.
Andersen is a good moderate choice but even there: buy from the web and find an installer OR go Andersen Direct for top of the line material and direct factory-trained install.
It's really an "it depends" based on needs and wants.
