Hanger recycling/donation

After de-cluttering our home, I find that we are left with many plastic and metal hangers. The Salvation Army does not take them. Does anyone know of a place where I can either recycle or donate them?

I think you answered your own question. Place the plastic hangers in the plastics recycling bin and the metal in the metal bin. If you have single stream recycling like Waste Management for example they all go in the same can.

I would call the town to see about recycling. Usually items ha e to bear the recycling symbol with a number.

I’d also contact local dry cleaners or thrift shops.

Hangers are not accepted for Warren County recycling - here’s a good reference list:

But you can use Freecycle.org or call consignment/thrift stores to see if they can use them.
