Gazebo holiday tree

I saw the town did the lighting of the tree last night, I was driving back home later on in the night around 930 and it wasn’t lit.
Why wouldn’t they keep it lit during the night?

Maybe they use old lights and a single bulb was out. It might take them until Christmas to find tbe sucker!

It could also be an energy saving measure, though I'd think on the first night, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day they'd have it on much later.
