National Pierogi Day 10/8!
Happy National Pierogi Day! I took a dozen pierogies from Krakus out of the freezer last night to have for dinner later. Enjoy everyone!
I wish my grandmother was still around. She made the best pierogies and I really miss them.
Krakus has delicious ones. I usually get the potato and cheese and also mushroom.
One thing I do regret is being raised in a Ukranian household and not wanting to learn how to cook.
I've never made sweet potato ones. Do you share your filling recipe?

Just cooked mashed sweet potatoes with a little bit of butter and S&P. Added a little cumin, chipotle chili powder and chopped scallions to this batch. I know, not traditional, though I have made hundreds of those at the holidays:)
"not traditional" --- my sister makes a lentil filling - and they're also vegan!
