Help identifying tooth
So I found this tooth on the top of my garden soil. My yard is fenced in and the soil was all fresh for the raised garden. I thought it was a deer tooth, but have been told it's not so I am totally puzzled.

Embryodad I looked up opossum teeth..looks like it. But the one I found is big, bigger than my dogs teeth...
Maybe coyote???
I have found several of the same over the years, including still associated with the skeleton. It is not a tooth, but rather the bone that is underneath a deer's hoof
