Bears are Waking!
Saw my first bear Sunday 9/24 around 930pm. Looked big, tired and hungry. On US HWY 46 near Gallagers Plumbing. Be careful out there!

HereitisI’m in the woods running a minimum of 5 days a week and the sightings are ew and far between. When I do see one however, it’s a pretty scary experience. I’ve seen maybe 6 or 7 in the 6 years I’ve been in the woods in this area and every time the bears turn tail and run. There was a deadly encounter a few years back in west Milford but black bear attacks are extremely rare.
I remember riding my bike years ago and one crossed the road right behind me. Good thing he wasn't hungry. He was a big sucker. LOL...
