Fort Lauderdale

Wondering if someone can offer ideas of beaches in the Fort Lauderdale area for a co worker. She booked a flight, not realizing how expensive Fort Lauderdale beachfront is. She’s a senior, traveling on her own, wants beachfront or walkable distance, small kitchen and is staying for a week in March. She’s not opposed to staying at a beach area outside of Fort Lauderdale. She will be renting a car while there. I know many of you are very travel savvy so I always turn to you for advice.

Skip Fort Lauderdale. So very crowded. Hollywood, Dania, Lauderdale by the Sea, and Delray are far better options.
