Autoimmune Specialist/Functional medicine
Can someone recommend a good functional medicine doctor/autoimmune specialist? The last one I went to wanted $2000 up front so I could start a program with her. I just don’t have that kind of money on hand. I really need some guidance. I’ve done my own research but believe I need help with possible supplement recommendations and I need a thorough bloodwork panel to see what I’m dealing with currently.

Myself and my family have all been helped by Carylann at Allergy & Health Solutions. Believe it or not, many of our health issues stem from stress related impacts to the body creating a sort of allergy effect by turning off or limiting our body functions from working properly. She is a distance ride from Hackettstown but oh so worth every bit. She has so much experience in different areas. 609-654-4858. allergyandhealthsolutionscenter.com
She helps your body to restart so it can heal itself. Best wishes to you for better health.
I have had issues with MS-like neurological symptoms since the early 90's. Almost every time I had a reoccurence, there was a preceding gastrointestinal disturbance.
Autoimmune diseases have a bunch of causes, some genetic and some lifestyle...or a combination of both.
Viruses, bacterial infections, "leaky gut" protein invasions of the bloodstream and the resultant immune responses can wreak havoc on your body.
I have taken 5000 units of vitamin D per day since 2005, and feel it when I miss a few doses. Fixed that issue for me.
Obviously, don't do what I do. I am not an MD or nutritionist.
This works for me....but do some research and consult a knowledgeable health practitioner.
