Scams & Gift Cards
I just read a WRNJ news item that a McDonald's employee fell for a scam for over $1200.00. The employee was instructed to take money out of the safe and buy gift cards. I can't believe that people keep falling for this "gift card nonsense". Doesn't common sense take over at some point and you ask yourself "Why would they send me to get gift cards?". Why not cash or cashier checks or money orders? It's time for the places that sell these things to be required to call police if someone buys hundreds of dollars worth of cards. Would that stop this insanity?
Lonesome Dove And where was the manager? If an employee goes into a safe, they got permission from someone to allow that. If it was management, then there needs to be serious retraining.
