Hackettstown Life Happy Hour January 16 (Friday) @ 7 pmAnyone feel like invading Applebees for the next HH? Please leave any suggestions in the box Below! Doesn't Applebee's get kind of crowded by 7pm on a Friday? The Hour's not real Happy if you can't get a drink in a timely fashion (-; So where do you suggest Ian? I need to check to see if I can make it. But so far I am ok with the date 20+ old timers around a bar......believe me! We'll get drinks with no problem. And yes, by all means, everyone under 30 is invited too! Applebees is fine, JA... I'm just going to get there well before 7pm (-; not too motivated for Applebees yet.....I go there a lot when hungry. DH and I cannot make it. Thank goodness it's at Applebee's, at least we won't be missing much, not big fans. Friday the 16th at 7pm at Applebees might be good they have tons of tv's and every game that is on will be on. If you guys will be there I will try to go. Actually the only Happy Hour I have been able to get to was the one at Applebees last March. Most likely I will be there earlier around 6ish and Ianimal said him and the little mrs will be there earlier too. Time and place were only a suggestion. You have until noontime Friday January 9 to vote. Please pick one of the following: My only concern with Smokehouse on a Friday night is that the place gets crowded for dinner. There is not much standing room around the bar. Missarlene may may to comment on this. I would not want to disrupt diners while we are mingling back and forth. The best thing about Friday Happy Hours (more people can come out) can also create a problem (most places are typically crowded anyway). i'm confused -- I thought it was going to be @ Bensi's on fri eve? I can make it on Fri and thought maybe Bensi might be a nice change? and closer to my home :] Applebee's does have a load of bar area and for that reason I think we need to keep it there. Also, not a bid fan but if we are going to get a crowd and I hope we do we wil need room to comfortably mingle. Like I said earlier Mike and I can't get there until probably 6:30-7. I'm sure many of you who go at 5 will still be there by then so I don't really think time is a problem. I am open for anywhere but I think a place with a large bar area would be best. So to sum it up my opinion really doesn't mean much. lol If Bensi were interested in attracting a Happy Hour crowd, it seems to me that they would offer food and drink specials. As far as I can tell, they don't... if I'm wrong, please advise. I dont care, again not a fan of Applebees, but beer is beer. I can always run to Wendy's for something to eat. I go for the place not the place. I'll try to sort through all the posts at noon Friday (the 9th) .........keep the votes pouring in! It doesn't matter where we go, it's the company. I'll be ther 6 or 6:30 regardless. I'll bring Jello for wrestling. Actually, Applebees will probably be great. We can meet mememe, Katy and Helping Girl! If we are going to have HH on Fridays remember Fridays are a busy night in most restaurants specially around 6pm. Applebees is always busy on weekends. I agree with Christine about Friday's being tougher since restaurant are generally more busy. Why is it that every HH is on a night I cant make it??? Phil we were there until after 9, you should have said somethimg to someone. We waited until everyone was finished and then went to Charlie Brown's. And might I add there were a few single women in the group (5 or 6). O well next time Firefly - I couldn't even tell who may have been part of the group once John C and those close to him moved away (or out). I left around 8:15 after I finished eating. After a tiring day at work a figured I'd go home and let the dog out rather than start asking random people if they were with the HL group. No Reggie, I forgot it started at 6 rather than 7 and when I saw how crowded it was when I got there @6:45 or so, I took the only open spot next to the beer taps. I had a couple of Tequila Sunrises, Mozzy sticks and a steak and was planted there until about 8:15. Phil - Were you talking on your cell phone for a little bit? JohnC- if he was the bartender, his real name is Phylis! No, that was probably the younger, nuch better looking guy next to me. I was almost behind the taps. The scary-looking guy with glasses (hopefully soon to be contacts again -lol). The phantom of the Applebees beer taps. HL gang signs I'm tellin' ya;-P But then again you never know if you flash them at the wrong person what they might think or do!!! Amen to that Reggie!
