Snow 12/13-12/14/17

Snow 12/13-12/14/17

1-2" expected for our area tonight into the early morning. The ground is so cold, it should all stick to the roads.

Uh oh. Taking dibs on delayed openings!

Why waste your time posting about 1" of snow

Observer, because it may be helpful information to others. Your powers of observation seem limited.

The HPD just posted that we are expected to get 2 to 3".

**WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING(12/13/17) TO 10 AM EST THURSDAY(12/14/17)**

* WHAT...Snow expected. Temperatures are cold enough for snow to stick on contact on untreated roads, resulting in slippery
travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches are
expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest New Jersey and eastern
Pennsylvania.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 10 AM EST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times. Most of the snow will fall prior to daybreak Thursday. Be
prepared to add extra travel time in the morning.
**
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Even 1" of snow, when it's this cold, can cause slippery road conditions and travel delays.

Thank you for the heads up. I don't keep television or radio on, and never remember to check my weather app, so often the first I hear of a storm is on HL.

I hardly ever watch tv and I didn’t listen to the radio at all today since I’m trying to catch up on all my podcasts, so thanks for posting this. It’s a decent enough accumulation for anyone having to travel on the major roads.
