Found Homing Pigeon

I just saw a white homing pigeon in the bridge area by Mine Brook Golf, if anyone is missing one.

Are they really missing? Isn't the reason they are called Homing Pigeons because of its ability to find its way home over extremely long distances?

My guess if it made it all the way from Ohio it is capable of taking care of itself. Can you call the owner?
