2017 Spring / Summer Pet Photos
Ok... more Spring pics everyone?
I haven't picked up my "real" camera in probably about a year. Way too easy to be lazy with the phone camera. Finally got it out today to get a shot of our new girl. She makes the silliest faces!
While this isn't from 2017, it is one of my favorite springtime pics of our old gal. She hasn't been outside much this week due to the rain and all the pollen, but I'm hoping to get a nice pic of her this weekend at some point.
Wow, we have some seriously good-looking animals around here! Yes, keep em coming. A breath-of-fresh-air thread among the controversial ones. :-)
Our friends' and neighbors' dog... who is Serena's granddaughter, actually! Was trying to get similar portraits of them.
Here is my sweet Daisy on this beautiful morning. She finally got out of bed and wanted to go sun herself on the deck for a bit. Can you tell she just woke up? Her allergies are just as bad as mine so only a few minutes at best for her otherwise she'll need meds.i made her a nice chicken and rice breakfast and she'll be keeping cool on her couch today.
Aaww sweet Daisy. Just want to grab her face and kiss her right between the eyes. I hope she (and you) feel better.
Nice pics Rebecka! And nice doggies:)
Fitz is so tired he can't even chew his dinosaur bone... he worked hard watching mommy garden and playing with his brother.
Love all the photos!!!! Thank you all for sharing!
Hawkeye is only ours temporarily. We are training him to be a service dog for a wounded warrior/American Hero.
Hawkeye - love the name and what a cutie -
And JeffersonRepub, grayhounds are a fav of mine also - a while ago I learned they had many different color coats - only thought they were gray.....
Thank you both for sharing
For people looking to rescue a dog, I always try to put Greyhounds on their radar. Generally people think of them as racers, and imagine they would be zooming around the house. But everyone I've met who has rescued one says they are big couch potatoes and wonderfully mellow, loving dogs.
Hawkeye- great name!!! I'll have to remember that for a future dog... my favorite MASH character.
She looks like she just won the doggie lottery. That smile says it all Rebecka!
Scooby just chillin on his cat tower...
Positive - It's a long story. They're very "sisters". When food is involved, all bets are off. When White Shoes first arrived at the "day spa", she was cbel's only so had to adjust to two other cats. Including Tigger who was just so big and confident, nothing phased him including a little one that didn't know the meaning of the word "share". White Shoes learned that very quickly when he put his foot down. But what she found was it could now be two on one if she teamed up with her sister. So they started out frenemies right off. And then just grown into where they are now.
I just tried to free the rabbit from her pen! Almost succeeded too. Then I got stuck like Winnie-the-Poo halfway through the cat door. Human says if I keep up the naughtiness one of us is going to go live in the dog run.

They look like they're hesitating because it's so hot out, Living! Such adorable dogs.
and one of my four - the beautiful, 16 year old, tiny, appetite stimulant pill taking, kidney issued, pee on the floor in front of the litter box Miss Peanut..............Taking the vet's suggest, trying wee wee pads on the floor instead of litter catcher mats -
Hawkeye - Human is gonna look funny out in the dog run. There may be hope for you yet.
Contemplating outside? Today? The puppies look more like they're contemplating tying up a human and raiding the refrigerator's 20lbs of 4th of July steaks. Go puppy, go.
Luca doesn't look convinced. No body even mentioned what not to be convinced of, and still doesn't fly. Good job.
Love you Peanut!! Give the human hell. ;-)
[snicker, snicker, My job here is done]
Yep I sent human to go live in dog run. Don't worry she has bucket of water. And look now I am big enough to get to the food for outdoor cat - cat food is so delicious! I love all the kitties and doggies pictures here and I wish I could meet you all. Thinkin' we could do so much damage if we all got together. Let's unite we could take over dis town.

Pipsqueak likes to hide -usually in plain sight - as he weighs 25 pounds. How do you diet one when you feed 4 - especially since he is usually the last to the food????
Love all the pics! Hawkeye is getting to be such a big boy. Meanwhile, Duke & Lily are snoozing in the air conditioning, under the ceiling fan. Spoiled much?
What???!? Is someone giving you a hard time about snoozing? Bootz is mayor of HackCATStown and disagrees completely. Contact his office if anyone calls you spoiled again...
I love going shopping every day to practice good store manners. But why does the bag with the meat always travel up front? It's just me and the noodles and the lettuce back here. (Could be havin so much more fun on the way home.)

It's going to be taped soon if it doesn't come up on its own! Stay tuned for ridiculous taped-ear pics. :-/
Me, me, me!! Pick me. I'll do the dog ear taping and wrapping and gluing and cement mixin' and....
Anyway, PICK ME! I'm purrfect for that job.
It's so cold today and I need warm snuggles.
Little Boo wrapped up in a blanket. She's making the cutest little squealing groaning noise!
Question for fellow dog owners: does anyone else besides me think these collars are pretty? Reason why I ask: I'm thinking of getting some and selling them to raise money for pet rescues (like our local Pet Adoption League).
They are hand made in USA. High quality and very strong and durable - I use them on all our Shepherds.
But unless others also find them attractive, I shouldn't buy a couple dozen... lol.
What would the cost be and how much would go to the rescues? Look good enough to buy for our mutt ( Best dog in town)
100% of money paid by public would go to rescues. My donation to the rescue would be the cost of buying them. Anyway, I might get some and ask if one of our local pet stores might display them... not sure how much to charge.
:-)
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming (sorry to interrupt)...
"Daddy did not just feed me ice cream off a spoon, really..."
-Serena
When you finally tired them all out, fed them a warm dinner, and all they want to do is lie down in the grass and listen to the sounds of the evening birds...
:-)
Boo may be the cutest thing ever to happen to HackettstownLife?
And lol... They are only recharging their batteries, GC.
OMG Rebecka that is too funny . I really must stop looking while drinking my morning tea! LOL
Does this blanket make me look fat? What happened to my waist? I used to have one! Oh well, where's my treat? ;)
Dear Ms. Boo,
You look mahvelous. Please don't change a thing. And your tiny white socks are just to die for. :-P
Where did you get Boo, RAS?
Someone had to give up their beloved pet and we were so fortunate to get her. She is much loved and spoiled rotten! Hopefully her old mom knows she's in a good home.
Does everyone know that petting a dog can relax you and actually lower your blood pressure?
