Radar shows it's already snowing in a large area around Allentown. The rest of the front is already at Harrisburg. It sure looks like this isn't going to wait until afternoon at all. Could well be here by 10AM.
GC Weather Channel only stating about 1" for us then turning to rain, not mentioning ice at all.
justwondering Calling the weather channel "good reporting" is like calling McDonalds "fine dining". Never listen to The Weather Channel.

* locations...near and north of interstate 80 in northeast
pennsylvania and northwest new jersey.
* hazard types...snow to freezing rain.
* accumulations...snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches...along with
less than a tenth of an inch of ice.
* timing...light snow is expected to develop this afternoon,
especially after 3 pm and continue this evening. heavier
snowfall develops near midnight. snow will change to freezing
rain between 3 am and 6 am...then to non freezing rain by 9 am
monday morning.
* impacts...snow and ice accumulations will create treacherous
driving conditions at times. there is a small chance of isolated
power outages early monday.
