Yeah I saw in weather.com says Sunday during the day 1-3 inches and Sunday night into Monday another 1-3 inches so 2-6 inch range so far.
My husband is teaching his last class of a 42 year career at SHU on Monday; I am hoping he does not have to deal with snow and ice and freezing rain on Monday.

I hope the trend of Sunday/Monday snow doesn't continue for the rest of the year - PITA for commuting.

What is the timing of this storm, especially thru the NE ext of the PA tpk from Phila to Quakertown?
Radar shows it's already snowing in a large area around Allentown. The rest of the front is already at Harrisburg. It sure looks like this isn't going to wait until afternoon at all. Could well be here by 10AM.
Weather Channel only stating about 1" for us then turning to rain, not mentioning ice at all.
Calling the weather channel "good reporting" is like calling McDonalds "fine dining". Never listen to The Weather Channel.

NOAA's 11:33am prediction is quite different from EPAWA:
...Winter weather advisory remains in effect until 9AM AST monday...
* locations...near and north of interstate 80 in northeast
pennsylvania and northwest new jersey.
* hazard types...snow to freezing rain.
* accumulations...snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches...along with
less than a tenth of an inch of ice.
* timing...light snow is expected to develop this afternoon,
especially after 3 pm and continue this evening. heavier
snowfall develops near midnight. snow will change to freezing
rain between 3 am and 6 am...then to non freezing rain by 9 am
monday morning.
* impacts...snow and ice accumulations will create treacherous
driving conditions at times. there is a small chance of isolated
power outages early monday.
Roads are snow covered here in Independence today at 4:15....Answer to GC: Yes, if it is a day when I am getting my hair done...My Mother always told me" If you take a umbrella with you in case of rain ..it will not rain!"...You can't make this stuff up!
