Need reliable and immediate company specializing in asbestos
We need a reliable contractor to replace some drop ceiling tiles in our kitchen. Recommendations would be very much aappreciated. We need someone who is able to come out quickly as we attempted to do it ourselves, but the tile broke. We believe the tiles were installed in the early 90s and are unsure if they contain asbestos.

CraftBeerBob If early 90's I highly doubt there's asbestos. Do you know the manufacturer? If so just call them.
It will probably be cheap enough to just test them if you're that concerned, rather than getting an asbestos contractor.

Their "Buy Online" link is broken, but Home Depot/Lowes may sell similar kits that you mail in a sample.
For $30-$50 it's much cheaper than hiring an asbestos contractor if you don't need to. If it DOES contain asbestos, it's $30-$50 insurance that you made the right call.
Of course it will delay your project a bit while you wait for results, but if only one tile broke just wipe everything down with a wet rag (only airborne particles are dangerous and it's not like you demolished the whole ceiling yet).
