Candidates for Allamuchy Twp Council

Any thoughts re candidates for Allamuchy Twp council? Seems people campaign by just sticking signs in the ground around here. I see lots of names but I have no idea who these people are or what they stand for. Comments, discussion and recommendations welcome so I am prepared on June 7. Thanks.

Concerned...I have also been curious! I don't know anything about any of the candidates and what they stand for. They have their slogans on the signs, but the slogans don't really say much. I do know that recently there have been two candidates in the news for negative reasons.

Also, I did receive an email from one of the candidates, Manny Quinoa. He served on the rec committee for years, and my girls played softball, so my email address must have been part of a list he used. Here's the email (I do not support or oppose this candidate, just sharing the info):

Remember to vote on June the 7th

“Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote”

I'm writing this email to you today because I am running for the three-year seat on the Township Council in Allamuchy. I decided to seek this office because I realize our town has come to a critical crossroad. We have grown considerably these past years, and we have now reached a point where it is time for us to decide as a community what we want to become, where we want to go, and how we want to get there.

Never has it been more important to elect to the Township Council a person who can represent your voice and someone who will act only in the best interest of the town. I believe I am capable of meeting that challenge and I look forward to the work ahead.

While I have held no prior political office, I am dedicated to all of the residents of our community. For the past twenty five plus years, I have volunteered my time as a volunteer in the Allamuchy Township Recreation Commission and have served as a volunteer for nine years as a member of the Board of Trustees in the Panther Valley Homeowners Property Association and as its Treasurer for seven years.

I would like to be your voice on the Township Council and I would like to count on your voice and your vote on Tuesday, June 7th. to help me get there.

FYI - WRNJ had them on yesterday -
http://wrnjradio.com/community-events/2016/6-2-16-political-forum-11-a-m/

They often re-broadcast and/or put up the audio file - I didn't see it on the page (easily) so you may want to give the staion a call.

Go to the menu on wrnj.com, under online features you will see political archives, all three debates from this week are there.

Looking forward to Mansfields debate this morning, though I'll miss it due to work and have to listen to the rebroadcast, if it's anything like the Mansfield Politics page on Facebook it will be entertaining!

I came across this when looking for the platforms... Like Jersey Girl I have also read some negative articles in the press.

The Allamuchy Town Council had a "debate" the other day on WRNJ radio. See below link in case anyone wants to listen to what the three candidates had to say before Tuesday's election.

It's the fourth interview listed.
