Get rid of a ceiling fan

Hi, we just changed our ceiling fan and I am trying to find out where I can get rid if it.

Abilities of NW New Jersey may take it, sans blades, or you could put it in your garbage for pick up.

You can post on www.freecycle.org or on the Facebook garage sale groups.

Thank you! I did put it in my garbage, but they didn't take it. :(
It is an old fan, so I'm not sure if anyone would want it.

Freecycle it. You'd be amazed at what some people will take off your hands for you.

Put at the road, post in the free section of craigslist. You can give anything away, someone will always want it.

I second Abilities. They recycle anything with a plug. There's also Green Visions in Randolph. You get a tax receipt at both places.

I would also get rid of your garbage company if they don't take garbage

The electric motor has copper in it. Which means it has scrap value. If you dont want to scrap it yourself someone will take it from the curb.
