New 'Game Store' next to Prickly Pear?
Drove by and saw that a possible 'game store' being set up next to The Prickly Pear Restaurant. Possibly called, 'Stiger Game'? Anyone have any details?

I peeked in the window and looks like a Game Stop store... But I spoke to a worker inside and he said they might have comics and cards also.
I googled them to see if there is any other (like a chain) or if it's a family owned one-off type game place. The reviews on this link are very silly. I couldn't stop reading them though.

I went here today. It's a bit disorganized, but they're just getting on their feet, so it's expected. The place is absolutely stuffed with games and old consoles, ranging from current titles to classic Atari stuff, and even Sega CD and Saturn titles. They also had 4 TVs set up, 1 in front, 3 in back, presumably to play games. The back ones had a Dreamcast, Genesis, N64 and older 360 setup. The front one didn't have a console, but an Xfinity adapter. The one staff member I saw was nice and helpful, even polishing the PS3 disc I bought (Transformers War for Cybertron). They also accept trade-ins. I'll definitely come back here.
Is this store even open any more? Went there yesterday and it was closed. No hours posted.
The reviews are crazy reading, but did anyone google it like I did after noticing it was on a "Scotch Plains" discussion board? The reviews are for a "Slinger Games" on Rt. 22 in Scotch Plains, NJ. It does make me wonder whether the place reviewed is actually good as per the first reviews, or horrible, as the later reviews state (which could just be from a competitor's employees). Here's an actual review of the place from when it opened:

That said, I've talked with some other folks who have no idea how it could stay in business, because they never see any customers in there. I thought perhaps they had a good ebay business going on, rather than as many walk ins, but you never know.
I've seen that store open maybe twice and I drive by a lot. No clue why they even bothered opening. There was a woman running the store while her kids ran around everywhere. Nothing was priced. Kinda odd.

Wouldn't shock me. It also wouldn't shock me if they were an eBay business primarily. But why even open a second store and then pretty much give up on it immediately? I'm sure there might be unfortunate circumstances that caused it--death, bankruptcy, etc. I think I'm really just disappointed that a mom and pop video game store ALMOST opened haha. Was looking forward to a non-Gamestop location to shop.

I have gone by every day for weeks and have not seen them open. I tried to call and the number goes to a cell phone voicemail. I was only able to go there once when they first opened and the fact that they had nothing priced made me not want to shop since they had to look everything up. There is a shop in Hopatcong that is selling retro games now as well as some newer console stuff. The guys know their stuff and they are not a chain. They also buy the games which is nice since GameStop only wants to deal with new console buy backs.

Been there 3 times. Tried to purchase 50$ worth of games each time and was told there system was down or that they just couldn't sell me anything because owner was gone. My question is why are you open standing at the counter if you can't sell anything??? This place is really fishy...some sort of front..
Whatever happened to this place??? Hasn't been open in years, yet everything is still inside.
