Congrats to the Tigers Track team, but ALL teams and players/athletes train and work hard. Keep up the good work though Tigers.
I hope they continue to do well. They're lucky to have Spring track. I wish all schools did...
Yes, Clyde, all the athletes who wear the uniform and take the field are EXPECTED to play hard.
If they don't ... they are either on the bench or off the team.
Go Tigers, Pam Willson is the best!
I so wish there was more/better coverage for the HHS Track and Field Team...seems like they're treated as 2nd class citizens. Some amazing athletes within the 'Football/Basketball/Baseball' trifecta train and do amazingly well with T&F...Hershall Walker, (sp?). All HHS parents, etc. should be cheering on all sports AND activities of HHS.

It all leads up to the conference meet, H/W/S, sectionals, states and Meet of Champions, which give the kids a chance to finish the season with a blaze of glory.
You want to see them build up to and peak for that big finish.
Looking for big things from Tiger junior 200-meter (25.86 seconds) and 400-meter (58.62) winner at the East Stroudsburg invitational meet, Nioami Miranda (feel free to correct me if I goofed up the spelling).
She also was fourth in the 100 (12.79) --- the best I ever did in that was 13.1 and that was 45 years ago when I was a college basketball player.
The start is key in that short sprint --- if she can hit the ground running just a little bit quicker and not over-stride (a common problem for sprinters) she may win the dash in the big meets too.
About lack of media coverage, talk to WRNJ about it. I've tried.
The media, such as we've known it, is shrinking, downsizing, and in a death spiral. Those who survive will be the ones who can adapt. Threads like this are where the people are getting their local information now. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but that is what's happening. Everybody is a "reporter" now, so if you want glory and publicity, be a reporter and do your own blog or whatever. If someone takes the time to send results to the media, I know the daily newspapers will welcome it, if it is from a reliable and accurate source.
Boys HHS remain undefeated after today's meet against Sussex Tech. Great efforts, boys!

Would somebody like to share, with those of us who are out of the loop, out of the inner circle, specifically ...
what records have been broken (school? county? conference? state? national? world?)
who (first and last name) broke these records and when?
Thank you.
Here is a story of interest.
Anything else out there I've missed?
